Smoothies are a busy girl’s best friend. They’re quick, nutritionally dense, easy to make with any number of ingredients, and can be taken on the go. But occasionallyI find myself in a smoothie rut. I’ve cycled through all my usualfavourites and the thought of another smoothie is just too boring! Fortunately, I’ve got a handful of delicious, non-smoothie protein powder recipes that I turn to whenever this happens.

1.) Protein Waffle Ice Cream Sandwichfrom Vega

What could be better than a waffle ice-cream sandwich? One that also happens to be gluten free, vegan, and packed full of protein! All the boxes get checked with this recipe and it’s a big crowd pleaser too. The perfect after dinner treat as the weatherstarts to warmup, or any time hunger strikes.

The Chili Lime flavour is a favorite of mine, but the BBQ and Ranch flavours are just as good, so feel free to get creative.

I can often be found making a double batch of this delicious granola on a Sunday night as part of my meal-prep routine. It’s great for breakfast with yogurt, on top of ice cream for dessert, or any time all by itself. I love that it stores well and doesn’t include heaps of sugar like many store-bought options.
